Work From Home Ends At Apple! Corporate Employees Ordered To Return To Office By September 5th

A latest report on Monday revealed that Apple Inc has set a Sept. 5 deadline for corporate employees to return to office at least three days a week.

Return To Office Plan 

As per this new plan, the employees will be required to work from the office on Tuesdays, Thursdays and a regular third day that will be determined by individual teams.

So far, Apple Inc did not immediately respond to the  request for comment.

With this move, Apple joins the league of several technology and finance companies that have begun mandating a return to office as COVID cases ease.

Before this, Tesla Inc Chief Executive, Elon Musk has asked employees to return to the office or leave the company, Earlier in June.

 This appears to be Apple’s latest attempt at returning to work after the Covid-19 spikes delayed its plans several times. 

 Earlier, Apple scheduled in-person work for Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. 

But, the employees were notified of the new approach on Monday.

Strictest Technology Company

So far, Apple Inc is considered to be one of the strictest technology companies when it comes to returning employees to the office. 

On the other hand, a few companies  have become more open to remote working in recent months, such as  Microsoft Corp., Amazon.com Inc., and Alphabet Inc.’s Google.

During June 2021, Apple Inc first announced the three-day policy. 

The technology major has been striving to get its staff back in the office.

 But, virus outbreaks forced the firm to put back deadlines and employees were working just two days each week. 

Dropping The Mask Requirement

This new rule will firstly be applicable  to Silicon Valley employees. 

Then  it will be implemented in more workplaces, as per the report.

A few weeks ago, the California based tech giant decided to drop the mask requirement in common office areas.

 It had already removed such a requirement at individual desks several months ago. 

Notably, there has been a decline in the seven-day case averages and daily new Covid case counts in Santa Clara County.

 It’s the place where many of Apple’s main offices are located. 

Still, the numbers are much higher than before the Omicron spikes earlier in 2022.
