Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 for UG Admissions Postponed

The fourth phase of the Central Universities Entrance Test-Undergraduate was scheduled for August 17-20, with 3.72 lakh candidates expected to take part.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), which is in charge of administering the exam, had previously stated that all phases of the exam would conclude on August 28.

As per UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar, The exam for over 11,000 of the 3.72 lakh candidates has been rescheduled for August 30 to accommodate their preferred city for the exam centre. NTA has increased capacity at centres and added more exam centres, in addition to making efforts to improve the quality of the centres.

He also stated that additional technical manpower has been stationed at each centre by deploying an Associate Professor level as a technical observer to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations.

Previously, Kumar appealed to the students to not panic and reassured them that the syllabus will be limited to what they have studied in class 12th. He advised candidates to focus on the exam without anxiety since the syllabus will be restricted to the 12th standard board examinations which they have recently completed and is fresh in their minds.

Such requests are being examined on case-to-case basis using audit trail of individual candidates and report of the centres. If found feasible, the candidates will be appearing on August 30.”
