Whatsapp Chats Can Be Synchronised Across Multiple Smartphones? This Is What We Know So Far..

Owned by American company Meta Platforms, the messaging giant WhatsApp is every now and then keeps adding features to its platform and now it looks like that it is soon going to change its one smartphone for one account policy for users.

Currently is focus being the multi-device linking, which shall only be available for tablets and desktops.

No wonder that it is a great feature to have, however it still limits the ability to have a WhatsApp account on multiple smartphones.

Through the chat sync feature, the company wants to allow users to send as well as receive messages from their multiple smartphones.

New Feature

This feature will in turn allow the users to use the same WhatsApp number or account on different devices that are not just tabs or desktops but smartphones as well.

Currently in the testing phase, this feature will be there with the Android 2.22.15 update for WhatsApp.

Right from iPhone to Android users of all stable versions shall be able to use this feature.

In addition to this, depending on the size of the chats that are stored on the primary device the synchronization process might take some time as per the reports.

For user who are looking to keep their data on their primary device while transferring it to another device, this ability to sync your WhatsApp account will be useful.

However, currently it is only in the beta version that the feature has been made available.

Account Sync on Multiple Devices

WhatsApp could have found a way to allow users to sync their accounts on multiple devices, this will mean that they will be able to keep their messages and contacts on their primary device while syncing all the chats between the devices.

A wider range of users on Android who are looking to transfer their chats to iOS devices shall be supported.

This feature was first announced a couple of weeks back, and its wider rollout means the feature worked as expected.
