Bangalore based Indian electric vehicle company, Ather Energy, has now launched the Gen 3 450X and 450 Plus electric scooters.
As we already know, Ather Energy launched the Ather 450X in 2020.
Ather Energy Launches Gen 3 450X and 450 Plus Electric Scooters
As per reports, the electric scooters have been priced at Rs 1.39 lakh and Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.
A best-seller in its category, the Ather 450X packs in some of the best features. At present, Ather 450X ex-showroom starts at Rs 1,32,426 in Delhi. The Ather electric scooter takes 3 hours 35 minutes to get an 80 percent charge and offers a driving range of 116 km on a full charge.
And now, the newly launched Gen 3 450X and 450 Plus electric scooters – a larger 3.7 kWh battery pack, up from 2.9 kWh, is included in the Gen 3 Ather 450X and 450 Plus models. The 450X’s real-world range in Eco Mode is 106 km, compared to its 146 km ARAI-certified range. The 450 Plus’s actual range has increased to 85 km.
The electric motor that powers the 450X and 450 Plus has also been improved by Ather Energy in addition to the battery pack. The 450X now has a max power rating of 6.2 kW, whereas the latter has 5.4 kW.
In addition to that, some other improvements include wider rear tires, 2GB RAM for the instrument panel, new aluminum mirrors, and a side step.
Ather Energy Reports Highest Ever Monthly Reports In April
We had recently reported that for April, Ather Energy reported its highest ever monthly sales of 3,779 units.
Ather Energy is high on octane, as the bookings for Ather 450X have been growing 25 percent quarter-on-quarter.
The retail sales network of the company spans 32 cities with 38 Experience Centres as of today.
By 2023, the same will be expanded to 150 Experience Centres in 100 cities.
But not just this, there is another noteworthy accomplishment by the electric vehicle manufacturer, that it has bagged the first direct investment in the electric mobility manufacturing sector by the country’s sovereign wealth fund.
