Indian IT major, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is planning to set up offices in small cities and non-metro regions such as Guwahati, Nagpur and Goa, in a bid to be closer to the available talent pool. 

It appears that the decision has been taken to get employees back to offices.

The move is aimed at motivating teamwork among staff members as many are unwilling to return to their base locations.

They have been working from home, mostly in their native towns, following the Covid-19 pandemic, as per the report

Setting Offices In Small Towns And Non-Metro Regions

Prior to this, the Bengaluru-based IT major, Infosys had announced that it will continue to put more money into talent hubs across different tier-II cities in the future. 

In the same regards, the company has decided to set up new offices in Noida, Coimbatore, Kolkata and Vizag. 

The work centers of the company are also present in cities like  Nagpur and Indore.

In the same line, the tech giant had also announced bumper raises, promotions and bonuses to its employees.

The move was to reverse record turnover levels as the company completed a limited pool of workers in digital, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and data science.

TCS Recruitment Drive 2022

Recently, TCS invited applications from freshers who completed their graduation in Arts, Commerce and Science streams, as part of its ongoing TCS BPS Hiring programme

As part of this, the official hiring page asked students (who completed their graduation in 2020, 2021 and 2022) to apply for the hiring programme.

Further, asking, “TCS has curated exclusive opportunities for Arts, Commerce & Science graduates from 2020, 2021 and 2022 year of passing (YoP) to apply for exciting careers and make #TheBigMove,”.
