India Builds 75-Kms Of National Highway In 120 Hours On This Route: Breaks Guinness World Records For Fastest Road Construction

Yes you heard right! The National Highway Authority of India has created a ‘Guinness World Record’ by laying and constructing a continuous 75km long road within just 5 days, as per the latest development.

To start with, the NHAI has created this outstanding Guinness world record with the construction of the bituminous concrete on the section of NH-53 residing between Amravati and Akola. 

It is noteworthy here that the section of Amravati to Akola is an important East-West corridor.

Interestingly, NHAI has completed the project of this newly constructed road of NH 35 in just 105 hours and 33 minutes.

NHAI Entered The Guinness World Records Very Recently

Further, the  entire process of construction of this road took 800 employees of NHAI and 720 people from a private company.

 Several consultants tagged along with these employees in order to wrap up the project in under 5 days. 

To be specific, NHAI commenced  the construction work at 7:27 am on 3 June and finished it by 5 pm on 7 June 2022.

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Sharing News

This brilliant news was announced by the Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari as he described the achievement of NHAI and also congratulated everyone associated with this construction of the 75 km-long highway. 

Moving ahead, Mr. Gadkari has shared the news on his official Twitter handle to further spread the achievement to the world.

Adding that, this single-lane continuous bituminous concrete road is actually equivalent to a 2-Lane Paved shoulder road of 37.5 Km each.

He also tweeted that the entire project took a record time of 105 hours and 33 minutes to build the bituminous concrete in a single lane.

Construction of this section is going to provide a major boost in connecting big cities including Kolkata, Raipur, Nagpur, Akola, Dhule, and also Surat.
