Zerodha employees will now be working from the comfort of their homes, permanently! 

The CEO and co-founder of Zerodha has confirmed that 950 of 1100 employees in the company will be permanently working from home.

Zerodha Employees To Work From Home Permanently: CEO Confirms

The CEO and co-founder, Nithin Kamath, has stated that the core team will work on a hybrid working model

He has stated that the company has started setting up satellite offices in smaller cities in Karnataka. 85-90% of the team works from home and will continue with this working model. An office has also been set up in Belagavi, Karnataka.

As per Kamath, “We have a taken a call that we would do permanent work from home and people are enjoying living in their small towns. Belagavi has amazing talent and we have a large team working there. Folks are enjoying Belagavi as a city, are having maids and independent houses which they could never think of affording in Bengaluru.”

The broking company has been in the news for introducing unique schemes for its employees. 

Zerodha Employees To Get Bonus For Being Healthy

Recently, The CEO of Zerodha, Nithin Kamath, said that the employees of Zerodha have been offered a bonus with their salary of half a month.

This bonus will be offered to employees who have a BMI of less than 25. He said that measuring a person’s body mass index or BMI is the easiest way for them to start their health and wellness journey.

If an employee manages to bring his or her BMI under 24 by August they will also get another half month’s pay as a bonus.

This bonus is being offered to mark World Health Day.

Zerodha’s Initiative For Restricting Working Hour Discussions

Showing care and empathy for employees, Nithin Kamath had also tweeted that the fintech unicorn would refrain from having work-related conversations post 6 pm. 

He tweeted, “At Zerodha, we have just killed all work-related chats post 6 pm and holidays. Also trying to get as many conversations to be asynchronous, moving them from chat to our internal instance of Discourse. Curious to see if this helps reduce the feeling of burnt out and brain-fried.”

Zerodha has not raised funds and they are profitable with zero debt, as they do not spend on marketing and advertising which is one of the main reasons for raising money. Instead of marketing spending, the organization wants to focus on core competency.
