No Driving Test Required For Getting Driving License! But You Need To Do This, As Per New RTO Rules

As per new rules notified by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, a candidate applying for driving license is no longer required to visit the tedious process of visiting the Regional Transport Office (RTOs) and stand in long queues there to get their license made.

The government has now made some changes in rules, making the whole process very easy.

Changes Made by the Centre for Driving License Application

As per new rules and amendments put in place by the central government, candidates applying for driving license are no longer required to give any kind of exam by visiting the RTO.

According to the rules notified by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, one will no longer have to stand in long queues to get their DLs.

Instead, this can be done by getting registered at any recognized driving training school.

Such candidates will have to train from Driving Training School and pass the exam there, and earn a certificate for clearance by the training school. Once that is done, on the basis of the certificate received, candidates can then be issued the driving license.

New Rules Around Getting Driving License

When it comes to training centers, the Road and Transport Ministry has issued some conditions and guidelines, right from the area of ??training centers to the education of the trainer.

Here are some of them.

• The fact that the training center for two wheeler, three wheeler and light motor vehicles must have at least one acre of land, will have to be ensured.
• For medium and heavy passenger goods vehicles or trailers’ training centre, the latter will need to confirm having at least two acres of land.
• Regarding the educational qualification of the trainer, he/she will have to be at least 12th class pass, with at least five years of driving experience and should have a well-versed idea of traffic rules.
• A teaching curriculum has been prescribed by the ministry, which includes that the duration of the course will be upto 4 weeks for light motor vehicles, and the syllabus for learning would be divided into 2 parts – theory and practical.
