Uber Will Hire 500 Indians This Year: These Specialized Skills Needed By Uber India
Uber is planning to hire 500 tech employees by December.

It already has a 1,000-member team across its tech centres in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
The company had hired 250 engineers to its India teams last year.
It has been expanding teams globally at all its tech centres such as in the US, Canada, Amsterdam, and its twin centres in India.
It recently inaugurated a new floor at its Bengaluru tech centre.
Vice-President and Head of Mobility Engineering, Praveen Neppalli Naga, said that India is a key market for Uber and therefore continues to invest in the twin tech centres here.
The teams play a vital role in driving world-class innovations by launching products and services globally.
It is committed to making mobility available easily to everyone and the strength of its technology differentiates it from the rest.
Jayaram Valliyur, Senior Director – Engineering, Uber said that the tech teams work on innovations in the areas of mobility and delivery.
Types It Wants To Hire
The firm is looking to onboard “passionate problem solvers” who will “collectively lead people into cities of the future.”
It is looking to hire best-in-class engineers, data scientists, and program managers for its global engineering and product teams.
It established its first tech centre in India in 2014 at Hyderabad which has expanded over the years to become the second-largest in the world after the US.
The twin centres at Hyderabad and Bengaluru handle critical functions such as Rider Engineering, Eats Engineering, Infra Tech, Data, Maps, Uber for Business, Fintech, Critical Obsession and Growth & Marketing, among others.
