50,000 TCS Employees Will Now Work 3 Days In Office; Salary Will Increase By Upto 8% For All TCS Employees!

India’s most profitable company & IT mammoth TCS (Tata Consultancy Services), which employs about 60000 people, has announced that it will call its employees to office from this month.

The company said that currently only the top level employees will be asked to visit the office and that too not for a week but 3 days. Remainder 2 days, they can work from home like they have been doing.

It was in the light of coronavirus that the companies had to shift to the WFH model, wherein people were asked to work from the comfort and safety of their homes. Though many companies still provide the facility to continue WFH, many of them are now gradually abolishing the same.

The employer of 6 lakhs, TCS has this month announced that it will call its employees to office starting this month.

Only Senior Associates To be Called to Office

Not all of 6 lakhs, but top 50000 employees will be called to work from office, 3 days a week. Which means that remaining 2 days they can continue to work from home.

CEO & MD of TCS, Rajesh Gopinathan confirmed that starting this month the senior associates of the company will start coming to the office. The number of the employees which are to be called to office will increase gradually down the line.

He said that hopefully by the middle of this year, that is, by June-July, most of the employees (80 percent) will start working from the office.

Salary Hike of 8 % in This Financial Year

Gopinathan also confirmed that for the financial year 2022-23, the salary of its employees will increase by 6-8 percent.

Notably, the hike was same for the last financial year.

TCS has appointed 35,209 new employees in the last quarter of FY 2021-22 i.e. January-March. This is the highest ever recruitment done in a single quarter. Similarly, in the last financial year, 1,03,546 new employees have got jobs in the company. This is also a record till date. With this, the number of employees of TCS has reached 5,92,195.
