Gautam Adani Beats Mukesh Ambani, Again! Becomes World’s 6th Richest Person With Net Worth Of $118 Billion

Industrial mogul and the chairperson of the multinational conglomerate Adani Group, Gautam Adani is now the sixth richest person in the world, while the former richest Indian Mukesh Ambani now ranks as the 11th richest person in the world.

According to the latest ranking released by Bloomberg, not only has Gautam Adani swiftly climbed the list of richest people in the world but also is the biggest wealth-gainer in 2022.

How Much is Gautam Adani’s Total Valuation?

Thanks to a meteoric rise in the shares of all the Adani Group companies, the net worth of the 59-year-old industrial mogul has surged to $118 billion.

This makes Gautam Adani the 6th richest person in the world, jumping ahead of Larry Page and Sergey Brin, the founders of Google, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

According to the report, Adani has added $41.6 billion to his wealth so far in the year (2022), making him the biggest wealth gainer in the year.

In comparison, the oil-to-telecom conglomerate Reliance Industries’ chairman Mukesh Ambani added $7.45 billion so far in 2022, ranking 11th on the world’s richest list, with a valuation of $97.4 billion.

According to proper figures reported by the wealth index, Adani’s wealth takes a lead of $20.6 billion compared to Ambani’s.

Adani has added $8.57 billion, amounting to about Rs 65,091 crore, contributed by a price rally in the shares of Adani Group’s listed stocks Adani Green Energy, Adani Enterprises, Adani Gas and Adani Transmission on Monday alone.

The tycoon is shifting majorly towards the clean energy, airports and power plants segments, and a major share of the profits come from the exceptionally well performance of the renewable energy major Adani Green Energy.

This week, the company entered in the list of top-10 valued companies in terms of market capitalization, with valuation soaring past Rs 4.22 lakh crore.
