Xiaomi 12 Pro India Launch
Earlier, The Xiaomi 12 Pro was unveiled in December, further commenced its global journey last month.
It is anticipated that on Apr 7, 2022, all the features and price will be revealed.
This new launch is most likely to take on the smartphones like iPhone 13, iQOO 9 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus in India.
Coming to the phone, it has been selling in global markets for a few months now, offering the best of what Xiaomi has to offer.
If we talk about the features, it was among the first few phones in the world to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip along with a very advanced camera system.
It is noteworthy here that this new launch is not the replacement to the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, which was the company’s true flagship last year by all means.
Xiaomi 12 Pro Features And Specifications
The smartphone is built around a 6.73″ 120Hz QHD+ LTPO AMOLED screen.
Along with a fingerprint reader underneath and a punch hole in the center for the 32MP selfie camera.
The rear contains a rectangular island housing three cameras – 50MP primary, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP telephoto.
Further, the Xiaomi 12 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, runs Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box.
It comes with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage onboard.
So far, it is not clear with what memory combinations the smartphone will be available in India.
For fueling the entire package, a 4,600 mAh battery with 120W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging support is provided.
The reports suggest that the smartphone will be offered in Blue, Purple, and Gray colors.
But, again no information is available if all of these will be offered in India.
Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X
Presently, the Xiaomi 12 lineup also includes the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X.
Where a regular Xiaomi 12 is smaller in size and has less capable cameras on its back.
At the same time, Xiaomi 12X offers the older Snapdragon 870 chip while keeping the same specs as the Xiaomi 12.
Although, these models are unlikely to launch in India on April 27th alongside the Pro version as Xiaomi hasn’t used the word “series” in its promo campaigns.
It seems that India could be getting two additional and completely different models.
Rumors suggest that the Xiaomi 12 Pro could later be joined by a Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12X Pro.
Both of these models could rely on the MediaTek chipsets and may offer a toned-down experience.
Further, the Redmi K50 series from the Chinese market could be renamed to the Xiaomi 12X series in India, considering Xiaomi’s track records.
As these phones are using the Dimensity 8100 chip and the Dimensity 9000 chip.
