In the month of March 2022, Tata Nexon recorded a sales of 14,315 units, which is 65 per cent yoy growth as compared to the 8,683 units sold during the same period last year.

Increased Sales for Tata Motors

Of March 2022, Tata Motors finished third sold 42,295 units, which is a 43% YoY increase as compared to the 29,655 units during the corresponding period.

There is a MoM growth of 6 per cent as 39,980 units were sold in that period. Tata had a total market share of 13.2 per cent. Out of the brand portfolio, Nexon was the most sold model and also the top volume gatherer in the SUV space.

The compact SUV, which has played an integral role in Tata recording good sales tally every month, was first introduced in the late 2017. It received a big upgrade in early 2020.

In March 2022, the Nexon recorded 14,315 unit sales which is a 65% YoY surge as compared to the 8,683 units during the same period last year.

Overall Nexon finished fourth, but notably it has the highest YoY growth amongst the top ten models. It could beat the likes of popular SUVs like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Hyundai Creta.
When it comes to Nexon, one can either choose the 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol which delivers a maximum power output of 120 PS and 170 Nm of peak torque or a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel which kicks out 110 PS and 260 Nm. Both are paired with a six-speed manual transmission as standard or a six-speed AMT as an option.

Including the recent Kaziranga edition, the SUV is available in XE, XM, XT, XZ and XZ+ variants. Priced between Rs. 7.42 lakh and Rs. 13.74 lakh (ex-showroom), it comes in Foliage Green, Flame Red, Pure Silver, Daytona Grey, Calgary White, and Atlas Black colour options. It rivals with Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Honda WR-V, etc.

Tata Nexon has Global NCAP safety rating of five stars and comes with a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, flat-bottom steering wheel with mounted controls, automatic climate control, push-button start/stop, sunroof, and so on.
