Tata Motors is all ready for the launch of their new 2022 Tata Nexon EV in India. As per the reports, the new Tata Nexon will be launched on 6th April, 2022. The new version of the Nexon EV will be an updated version of the current generation of the Tata Nexon EV SUV available in India. The newer generation of Tata Nexon will have a greater range than the current generation.
Larger Battery Pack
The expectation is that the 2022 Tata Nexon EV will offer a larger battery pack of 40kWh and the larger the battery pack, the more is the range of the vehicle. The current Tata Nexon EV offers a range of 312 km (ARAI claimed). But, the real-world range offered by Nexon EV is 200-220km. The upcoming Tata Nexon EV is expected to have a range of 400km. This means that the real-world mileage that the users will get is around 300km approximately.
Charger
Because of having a larger battery pack, the weight of the 2022 Tata Nexon EV will increase. But, the boot space of the EV is going to be reduced (as a bigger battery will be adjusted). The 2021 Nexon will have a 6.6kW AC charger. The current generation of Nexon EV comes with a 3.3kW AC charger which takes around 10 hours to completely charge the battery. The 6.6kW AC charger is expected to be optional for the buyers. The new Nexon EV may also offer some style updates, security features and along with multiple riding modes.
Price
The 2022 Tata Nexon’s price will be hiked by around Rs. 3 to 4 lakhs over the current generation of Nexon EV. This means that the final price of the Nexon EV will be around Rs. 18 lakh. But, the long-range variant of Nexon will be sold along with the current generation of Nexon. This means more options for car buyers. The buyers with a tight budget can go for a lower variant, while others can opt for a Nexon long-range variant.
