Apparently, there are only two criteria that you should meet that will make you perfect as an employee at Meta.

Mark Zuckerberg has shared some advice for college students and also offered some insights into what he looks for in an employee.

Zuckerberg is the chairman and chief executive officer of Meta, which is formerly known as Facebook. Multiple social media platforms, like Whatsapp, Instagram, and Facebook, are headed by Zuckerberg.

What are these two important criteria? Read on to find out what Zuckerberg said!

Who Are You Spending Time With?

Zuckerberg was speaking at a podcast hosted by MIT computer scientist Lex Fridman. He said that when you are in college, the most important decision you can make is deciding who you are spending time with.

He said, “You become the people you surround yourself with. I think probably people are too, in general, objective focused, and maybe not focused enough on the connections and the people who they’re basically building relationships with.”

Zuckerberg recently changed Facebook’s name to Meta. The concept refers to an online world where people can use different devices to move and communicate in a virtual environment.

In other words, metaverse consists of virtual, interactive spaces in the digital world. It can be imagined as a virtual universe in which users will live, work and exercise. They can also create and explore with other people who aren’t in the same physical space.

Working With People Who Share Human Values

The other quality he talked about was a candidate being able to prioritize relationships over objectives.

He stated that when he evaluates a candidate, he does not imagine being the boss of that candidate, rather he imagines how he would be as a boss. He said, “I will only hire someone to work for me if I could see myself working for them.”

He also explained why he chooses to do this. As per Zuckerberg, this strategy helps develop an environment that is more productive.

He states that it is important to find personal compatibility and it helps achieve goals better if you are working with people who share your values on a human level.

In February, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg saw his net worth take a dive. Zuckerberg owns about 12.8% of Meta.
