Soon, passengers in Shatabdi and Vande Bharat trains will be able to enjoy radio entertainment during their rail journey.

Radio Entertainment For Passengers

As per the latest report, the Northern Railway is all set to introduce customized music experience and RJ entertainment in trains.

This will be implemented with the help of passengers’ address systems. 

In simple words, when passengers on Shatabdi/Vande Bharat trains will travel across Delhi, Lucknow, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Ajmer, Dehradun, Kanpur, Varanasi, Katra and Kathgodam, they will be greeted by radio music.

Northern Railway has awarded a contract to provide full entertainment to travelers in trains, according to the official release. 

The idea is to give a feel about cities they are traveling through radio service in all Shatabdi and Vande Bharat Trains of Delhi Division.

The thought behind this is that music with traveling is the best combination, as per the release.

Besides this, it also enhances the possibilities of good mood during their travel. 

The idea also talks about advertising through radio in ten Shatabdi Express  and two Vande Bharat Express trains. 

During journey time, the ratio of entertainment/ railway information and commercial advertisement will be given on a 50 min:10 min per hour basis.

Pune Metro Inauguration

In another development, Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha-Metro) has announced that they will open two routes in Pune city including Vanaz to Garware college and Pimpri to Phugewadi.

The two routes will be open for the public from March 6.

“Both the routes will be operational for public use once the routes are inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 6. Most of the work is completed on the routes and a few minor works on the Vanaz route will be completed before the inauguration,” said Maha-Metro officials.
