Variants

The EV6 was launched in the US in three trims: the entry-level EV6 Light, mid-spec EV6 Wind, and the top-spec EV6 GT Line.

The Light trim comes with a rear-wheel configuration, while both the Wind and GT-Line get a bigger battery and the option of a Dual Motor e-all-wheel drivetrain.

In the US, the Kia EV6 competes against Tesla Model Y, Ford Mustang Mach-E and VW ID.4 in the international markets.

The EV6’s name has been trademarked in India, leading to speculations that it will arrive in India as well, likely through the CBU (Completely Built-Up) route.

Interior

It is full of features such as 

  • 12.3-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
  • 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
  • Heated seats in the front row
  • Driver’s seat gets power-adjustability with memory functions
  • Second-row seats get recline and slide options with automatic climate controls
  • Connectivity options like Wireless phone charger, and phone-key capability

It is also well equipped safety wise, featuring:

  • Automatic high beams
  • Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and rear occupant alert 
  • Forward collision warning with cyclist and pedestrian detection
  • Lane-keeping assist
  • Driver attention monitor

Battery, Power, Range, Top Speed

  • Entry Level

The entry-level trim comes with a 58 kWh battery pack and an electric motor mounted at the rear helping produce 167 hp and 349 Nm of peak torque.

Kia claims that it can go from 0 to 96 kmph in just eight seconds and has a top speed of 185 kmph.

  • Mid-Spec

The EV6 Wind runs on a 74.4 kWh battery and a more powerful electric motor delivers 225 hp and 349 Nm with 0-96 kmph in 7.2 seconds and 185 kmph top speed.

A twin motor setup makes 320 hp and 604 Nm and it can accelerate from 0 to 96 kmph in just 5.1 seconds before reaching a top speed of 188 kmph.

The RWD and AWD have a claimed range of 500 km and 441 km respectively in the US.

Pricing

In the US it costs $42,115 or around Rs.31,58,603 for the light variant.

The mid-spec Wind variant starts from $48, 215 or Rs. 36,16,100.

The top -spec GT Line costs $52,415 or Rs. 39,31, 098 with the RWD, and $57,115 or Rs. 42,83,596 with the AWD.
