With their latest update, the IRCTC has announced the launch of their new app ‘Confirm Ticket’ for booking tickets. The mobile app has been launched for the purpose of booking tatkal tickets. As per a report by Amar Ujala, the passengers can now book emergency tatkal tickets from the comfort of their homes. 

 Features of this new app

The Confirm Ticket app also allows passengers to view seat availability of various trains. It shows all the tatkal tickets available on a specific route. Passengers will not be required to enter their train number in order to get details from this app. The app is available to download on the Google Play Store for people with android phones. 

Allows Saving Personal Information

As per the report, the Confirm ticket app allows people to save personal information while they are logging into their account. The users will be able to save a lot of time by saving this information as they will not have to re-enter it over and over again. 

But, tatkal bookings always depend on the availability of seats. There are times where the ticket will be reflected in the waiting list instead of being confirmed. The ticket will only be confirmed if the seat is available after the payment is made.

One thing passengers should keep in mind is that an extra charge will be levied for booking tatkal tickets even though the Confirm ticket app.
