State Bank of India (SBI) is the country’s largest government bank. SBI has announced that they will be closing thousands of bank accounts. This will be done after 31st March. You can continue your transactions until that date.

Update your KYC by last date

If customers do not have their bank account KYC updated, SBI will close their account. The bank alerted customers via SMS to get their KYC updated. 31st March is the last date to update the KYC. Thousands and thousands of bank account KYCs are yet to be updated under the regional offices of SBI.

SBI’s Tweet

The bank has asked its customers to link their PAN card to their Aadhar before 31st March or else they will face problems in utilising bank services from 1st April. Transaction services will also be halted for such accounts.

SBI has alerted customers

SBI has sent an SMS alerting 19800 customers in Ratlam and Jhabua district asking them to link their PAN card to their Aadhar card in order to avoid any inconveniences and enjoy uninterrupted banking services. Bank has stated that people should link the PAN card and Aadhar card by the last date so that they don’t face any interruptions or inconveniences in banking services.

Last chance to do KYC

The last chance to connect your PAN card and Aadhar card is 31st March. SBI has also alerted its customers via a Tweet and SMS. The customers should connect their PAN card and Aadhar card as soon as possible in order to avoid inconveniences. The bank has stated that if the customers don’t connect their PAN card to their Aadhar card in time, the PAN card will be of no use and customers will not be able to use it for specific transactions.

Link through SMS

PAN card can also be linked to your Aadhar card using SMS at home through your mobile. For this, the customers have to type 12 numbers of their Aadhar card with uid pan and then add 10 numbers of the PAN card number from their registered phone number. This SMS can be sent to the numbers: 567678 or 561561
