Whatsapp Is Changing Notifications For Billions Of Users: This Is How It Will Work Now!

The new year brings new features in Whatsapp, as the popular messaging app, Whatsapp has started to roll out the first beta feature of 2022 for users, as the latest report suggests.

Whatsapp New Feature

With this new feature, iPhone users will also be able to see profile images of senders along with the message notifications, according to WABetaInfo report.

Further, this new feature will allow users to see small photos of the sender in the notification when they receive a new message from an individual user or a group, as shown in the screenshot shared with the report.

So far, this newly developed feature is available to only a few beta testers with the iOS 15  operating system as the feature uses iOS 15 APIs.

Although, the Facebook-owned massaging will soon release the feature for more users with the upcoming updates. 

Soon Roll Out For The Public

As the report suggests, WhatsApp may experience some issues while displaying profile photos to specific notifications as this new feature is still in the beta phase. 

However, users need not worry since these issues will likely be resolved whenever the feature will be rolled out for the public. 

Besides this, WhatsApp has also started to roll out a beta update 2.22.1.1 for iOS users from last week. 

The update reportedly comes with hidden references about a feature that will allow users to create Communities in future updates. 

At the same time, some hidden reference was spotted on the beta update released for Android smartphones two weeks ago. 

Whatsapp Community Feature

For the unaware Whatsapp has been working on a Community feature for a while. 

Further, this Community has a name and a description, as seen on a Group as per screenshots shared by WABetaInfo. 

Once users enter the name and the description, they will get an option to create a new Group or link up to 10 Groups. 

Apart from this, an ‘Announcement’ Group is also seen in the Community. 

Basically, WhatsApp will automatically create this group for admins, as per the report. 

With the use of these features, Group admins will share a message to all the linked Groups.
