New 3-Years UK Work Visa Will Be Cheaper, Fast & Easy For Indian Students, Traders: Find Out How & Why?

Getting a work visa for the United Kingdom (UK) is considered as one of the toughest activities for students, entrepreneurs and traders.

And it’s expensive too.

But soon, things can change drastically.

UK may soon start giving easy, cheap and instant work visas for Indian students, entrepreneurs, for 3 years!

Find out how this will happen..

UK May Soon Give 3-Year Work Visa For Indian Students

As per reports coming, UK Govt is working out a plan to roll out easy, fast and cheap work visas for Indians.

This will hugely benefit Indian students and entrepreneurs, who wish to go to the UK for study and work. If the plan works out, then Indians can get upto 3 years of UK visa, without any delay or paying huge amount of visa fees.

Similar arrangements have been already made for Chinese, who wish to enter the UK for work, and now, India too join that list.

Why This Special Treatment For Indians By The UK?

As per reports, UK wish to clinch some large scale trade deals with India, and this easy work visa process can be a return offer from them.

UK International Trade Secretary Anne-Marie Trevelyan is expected to visit India this month, and hold talks about India-UK free trade agreement (FTA).

And the offer of rolling out easy work visas can be a major part of this deal.

Lower Work Visa Fees Planned

Besides giving out fast work visa for 3 years, the UK may also lower down the high visa fees for Indians.

Currently, Indians need to pay GBP 1,400 for a work visa, and students GBP 348 and tourists GBP 95 for visa.

Indian-origin peer Lord Karan Bilimoria, the president of the Confederation of British Industry has been pushing to lower visa fees for Indians since long.

He said, “That FTA, I hope, will benefit in enhancing bilateral trade and be as comprehensive as possible. Movement of people; reduction of duties and tariffs – the tariff on Scotch whisky is 150 per cent, that’s got to be reduced drastically; academic collaborations and cross-border research is going to be huge between our countries and partnering on a Green industrial revolution. There is a vast array to really ramp up business and trade between our two countries,”

Last year, UK Home Secretary Priti Patel had signed a Migration and Mobility Partnership (MMP) with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar which facilitates entry of 3000 Indian students and professionals to avail work visa related benefits, per year.
