The name of Tesla needs no introduction. It is the leading car manufacturing company that is changing the face of mobility throughout the world. It has impressed car owners throughout the world. The company has been the house of groundbreaking innovations and features that are almost futuristic.

Still, this state-of-the-art technology and ease of driving are not just enough to keep customers happy. Customers are also interested in after-sales services. And if any company is lagging in providing the after-sales services, it might be attracting severe criticism.

A disgruntled finish Tesla owner blows up Tesla

A disgruntled Tesla owner from Finland blew up his car using 30 kg dynamite when he was told that the repairs damages would cost a whopping Rs 17 lakh. The owner carried out the demolition of his car in Jaala, an ice-covered village in the Kymenlaakso region.

A youtube video that captures the entire demolition episode is available on a Youtube channel named Pommijatkat. The video was captured with the help of volunteers.

Tuomas Katainen, the tesla owner, wanted to draw the attention of the world and express his disappointment with the EV company’s after-sale service.

The owner was unhappy with repair charges of whooping Rs. 17 lakhs

“When I bought that Tesla, the first 1,500 km were nice. It was an excellent car. Then the error codes hit. So I ordered the tow truck to take my car to the service station. For almost a month the car was at the dealer’s workshop and I finally got a call that they cannot do anything for my car. The only option is to change the whole battery cell,” said Toumas, the Tesla car owner.

“It would cost me at least 20,000 Euros (approximately 17 Lakhs). So, I told them I am coming to pick up my car. And now I am going to explode the whole car away because apparently there was no guarantee or anything,” he added further.

To add to his woes, the car’s warranty had expired as it was already eight years old. That’s why Tuomas decided to blow it up.

Surprisingly, the team also placed an effigy of Tesla CEO Elon Musk inside the car, complete with a helmet. It was strapped to the car’s front seat. However, it should be noted that the task of carrying out the explosion wasn’t an easy one. But when it was done. there was barely anything left.

It is not difficult to guess how Elon Musk will feel if he ever gets to watch this video.
