Google Will Stop Salaries, And Then Fire Unvaccinated Employees After This Date; Indefinite Work From Home Imposed

If you are a google employee, and are not vaccinated, you will face the risk of pay cuts and will eventually be fired! 

A memo has been issued by the leadership at Google, which confirms the same. 

Google To Enforce Pay Cuts And Termination For Unvaccinated Employees

If employees of Google are not vaccinated, they would lose pay and also be fired if found not following the COVID-19 vaccination rules. 

The memo states that employees have till December 3 to declare their vaccination status and upload documentation showing proof. Alternatively, they will be required to apply for a medical or religious exemption.

After December 3, Google has stated that it will start contacting employees who had not uploaded their status or were unvaccinated. They will contact those whose exemption requests have not been approved.

As per reports, all the employees who have not complied with the vaccination rules by January 18 will be placed on “paid administrative leave” for 30 days. This will be followed by “unpaid personal leave” for up to six months and termination.

Google said, “We’re committed to doing everything possible to help our employees who can get vaccinated do so, and firmly stand behind our vaccination policy.”

Indefinite Work From Home For All Google Employees

Earlier, Google had asked all their employees to come back to the office by January 10th. 

This move has been suddenly cancelled, as Google has now announced that there will be indefinite work from home for all 1.5 lakh employees.

Alphabet, the parent company of Google, informed this new development to all employees, which was first reported by Insider.

This means that all Google employees will now keep on working from home, for an indefinite period, unless Google changes its stand.

Alphabet, in their note to all employees, has informed that amidst growing concern of Omicron variant of coronavirus, they have postponed the decision to call back all employees to office.

Omicron, the newly discovered coronavirus variant that originated in South Africa, has forced the entire world to be alert and extra cautious since this variant’s infection rate is fast, and can impact a large population, or can trigger a 3rd wave.
