In terms of the need for new-age digital capabilities, the country’s information technology industry is undergoing a revolutionary transition.

In addition to rising attrition rates in the IT business, job applicants are now negotiating for better wage offers, they are looking forward to quitting their present job and going with the opportunity that pays them well. To retain employees, tech companies are also giving steep increments and more promotions.

According to UnearthInsight, a market intelligence agency, resignation trends in the IT sector will continue in the second half of FY2022.

Employees To Switch Companies!

Employees are leaving, and the majority are from Tier-I cities, according to a study conducted by the company, and thus slapping the attrition rate to the highest.

The report is about ‘IT Industry Q2 Insights & FY22 Forecast’ UnearthInsight.

According to the research, leading IT firms will add as much as 4.5 lakh personnel in the second half, with a net addition of roughly 1.75 lakhs after accounting for the 17-19 per cent attrition rate.

Attrition Rate 

The attrition rate for all the major companies is increasing drastically! The attrition rate at India’s IT firms has spiked up to 30% over the last six months.

Infosys and Wipro had the highest LTM (last twelve months) attrition rates this quarter, at 20.1 per cent and 20.5 per cent, respectively. TCS posted the lowest quarterly attrition rate increase in the last twelve months, at 11.9 per cent.
