After smartphones, Reliance Jio is now all set to enter new consumer product categories. While the much-hyped Jio laptop is yet to launch, Jio TV and Jio Tablet India launch is now expected next year, said to be already in works as reported by 91mobiles. As per the report, both the Jio TV and Jio tablet will come at an affordable price range.
Jio TV and Jio tablet specifications are yet to be known, expected come with mid-range features loaded with Jio exclusive benefits.
The Jio tablet may run on PragatiOS out of the box, the same which already powers JioPhone Next, the company’s in-house OS built in association with Google. The upcoming tablet by Jio will probably be powered by an entry-level Qualcomm chip, given that Jio already inked a partnership deal with chipset major Qualcomm.
Jio tablet price in India could be somewhere around Rs 10,000 given the company is known to offer products at a very aggressive price range, maybe likes of Realme and Nokia.
The Jio TV will help the company offer a bundled deal with the already available set-up box with support for different OTT apps. The Jio set-up box could also bundle with JioFiber broadband and the TV. It’s quite evident that Jio is trying to build an entire ecosystem of Jio-branded products.
Coming to Jio laptop launch in India, the JioBook is said to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset and Android OS. The Jio laptop may have its own JioOS UI powering the system. The rumour mill hints at JioBook laptop price starting at Rs 19,999. Jio laptop price may differ for different models and storage options. The Jio laptop will support 4G LTE connectivity with a 720p HD display.
