A few days back TCS workers were asked to report back to their respective locations by November 15. 

TCS has announced that it is moving from work from home to work from the office! By the end of this year or the beginning of next year, the corporation plans to call most of its employees back to work.

But as of now 95% TCS employees are still working from home.

Work From Home Ends For TCS

 Operational branches were listed on Monday, November 12, 2021, by the employees and then TCS workers were asked to report back to their respective locations by November 15. 

At any given moment, only 25% of the staff are supposed to be working from the office. Until 2022, 75% of techies will continue to work from home.

“Sometime towards early 2022, we will get 70-80% of our workforce back in the offices,”


TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinath said.

TCS 25/25 Model

Milind Lakkad, global head, human resources had said that TCS created a blueprint, Vision 25/25 to ensure that 25 per cent of its employees were present only 25 per cent of the time in offices to be 100 per cent productive.

“Our customers are comfortable with this model and want us to take more work that others are not able to handle. This has given us the confidence to come out with a bold new Vision 25/25,” said Gopinathan.


 TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan first highlighted its 25×25 or 25/25 plan during the company’s FY20 annual report.?

“Towards the end of CY’21, we will encourage our associates to return to offices, at least initially, before we switch to the 25/25 model. This will be done in a phased and flexible manner and will depend on respective team leaders and the requirements of each team/ project. We are committed to the 25/ 25 model, but before transitioning to the model we need to start by getting people back to the office and gradually evolve to 25/25,”


 TCS said in a statement to Economic Times earlier.?

According to the Nasscom-Indeed report, 72 per cent of companies plan to operate at 50 per cent workforce capacity starting next year. 

Hybrid Work Model!

Also, Big IT firms are planning for a hybrid work model, in which employees can work a few days from the office and a few days from home.

Employees and employers alike are keen to return to the workplace, but in a hybrid model, according to a recent survey by the industry body National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) and job portal Indeed.
