With 11 days remaining in the month of November, banks across the country will be open for public business only for 6. Depending upon different states and festivals, banks across the country will observe holidays for at most 5 days.

In order to not find your bank branch closed on your visit, we have made a list of all the dates banks across the country would be closed on, depending upon their state location.

As per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar list, there are 11 non-working days assigned for the month of November, excluding the weekends.

It must be noted that the number of these bank holidays for the remainder of the month, would not be the same for all the states. Moreover, while the bank branches would remain shut on these holidays, the online banking activities will continue to work.

RBI Holiday Brackets

The country’s central bank, Reserve Bank of India places its Holidays under three brackets:

  • Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act,
  • Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and
  • Banks’ Closing of Account

It must be noted that bank holidays vary in different states, and are not observed by all the banking companies.

The bank was closed yesterday on November 19 across Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, and Srinagar.
