Tata Motors, the homegrown brand of vehicles, is having a time of its own. In recent times the vehicles, Tata Motors SUVs like Tata Harrier, Nexon, Nexon EV, have received a tremendous response from customers. These newly launched vehicles have turned the tables for the company. It looks like the good days for the company are far from over.

According to reports, the recently launched Tata Punch has become the second-best Tata car within the first 12 days after its launch.

Tata hits a heavy punch with Tata Punch!

Recently Tata Motors brought Tata Punch, a sub-compact SUV to the Indian market. And within a few days of its official launch, the Punch has become the second best-selling Tata car in India.  This car is the smallest sports utility vehicle in the company’s India line-up. The prices of the car start at Rs 5.49 lakh and they go up to Rs 9.09 lakh for the top-spec variant with AMT, ex-showroom Delhi.

In the month of October 2021, Tata Motors sold 8,453 units of the Punch in India and it became the second best-selling car for the company. With a total sales of 10,096 units last month, the first spot on the sales chart was captured by the Tata Nexon. It recorded a massive YoY growth of 95 percent.

Tata Punch comes with attractive features

Tata Punch is offered with a sole BS6 compliant 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine that churns out 85 hp of power and 113 Nm of peak torque. The powertrain comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox and an optional AMT. Impressively, the Punch has scored a 5-Star safety rating for adult occupant protection in the Global NCAP crash test.

It also gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. With an optional pack for Rs 30,000, this car also comes with Tata’s iRA connected car tech.

The Tata Punch competes with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Mahindra KUV100 NXT, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, etc. Will it be able to win the market? only time will tell.
