Australia Recognises Covaxin Vaccine

As per information received, Australia has recognized the Covaxin vaccine made by Bharat Biotech.

Australia’s medicines and medical devices regulator TGA said, “Today, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) determined that Covaxin (manufactured by Bharat Biotech, India) and BBIBP-CorV (manufactured by Sinopharm, China) vaccines would be ‘recognised’ for the purpose of establishing a traveller’s vaccination status.”

None the less, WHO has recently approved Covaxin vaccine for international travel and other requirements, that means that Australia and other nations will have to allow Covaxin-vaccinated travellers.

Starting November, Australia has relaxed a lot of rules for international travellers, as they have opened up their borders for normal international travel.
