TCS Will Hire 35,000 Freshers Via Smart Hiring Program: But These Students Not Allowed

As India marches forward by keeping pandemic at the bay, corporate engines are also gearing up to fire at full throttle. And what is the one most important driving resource of any company? Human Resources, right? And it looks like Indian IT giants are making sure that they have enough manpower to take on the world.

TCS announces ‘Smart Hiring Program’

India’s IT leader Tata Consultancy Services has announced its plan to hire freshers under its ‘Smart Hiring Program’. The registration is open till 2nd November. Recruitment tests under the same program will begin on 19 November.

TCS has hired 43,000 fresh graduates in the first six months of the financial year, its highest number in the period so far. It is also planning to recruit at least 35,000 more this year.

It should be noted that TCS Smart Hiring is exclusively for BCA, B. Sc (Maths, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Biochemistry, Computer Science, IT), B. Voc in CS / IT students and freshers from the year of passing 2020, 2021 & 2022

The company has said that the students who perform exceptionally during our TCS Smart Hiring selection process will get an opportunity to join TCS Ignite – TCS’ unique ‘Science to Software’ program.

Program Details are as follows

Full-time graduates from BCA, B.Sc (Maths, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Biochemistry, Computer Science, IT), B. Voc in CS / IT from 2020, 2021 & 2022 Year of Passing are eligible to apply for this program. Students from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) (Std. X and Std. XII) can also be part of the test if they have also completed full-time graduation.

Students should have a CGPA of 5 or 50% throughout Academics in X / XII / and the above-mentioned graduation streams. Notably, only students from the Year of Passing 2022 are allowed 1 active backlog at the time of appearing for the exam. This backlog should be cleared within the stipulated time duration to be eligible for TCS Smart Hiring. Students from Year of Passing 2021 and 2020 should have completed the course with no pending backlogs

It is mandatory for students to declare gaps in education if any. If the overall academic gap is increasing by two years, those students are not eligible to apply.

If a student is found ineligible at any stage of the hiring program, TCS reserves every right to not proceed with the candidature.
