Infosys Inc is planning to hire 45000 college graduates in the ongoing financial year. The company has recently announced its aggressive hiring plans after posting the financial results for the second quarter of the ongoing financial year that ended September 30, 2021.

This comes at a time where there is rising demand for its services and also a spike in its attrition. While its revenue growth guidance rose to 16.5-17.5% from 14-16% earlier, its attrition for the quarter grew to 20.1% from 13.9% in the previous quarter.

The spike in attrition can be attributed to the burgeoning demand for digital talent as IT workers seek greener pastures.  Infosys and Wipro’s attrition rates were reported to be 15.2% and 12.1% in the fourth quarter of the 2020-21 financial year.
