Air India Privatisation: Priority Treatment For MPs, Political Leaders Must Continue, Says Govt

In a letter to airlines, the central government stated that the practise of treating travelling dignitaries according to protocol will continue.

The protocol/courtesy to honourable MPs at airports must be extended.

Airlines Has To Follow These Protocols

“I am directed to say that instructions have been issued from time to time for extending protocol/courtesy/support to MPs at airports. However, some issues of negligence regarding extending the protocol/courtesy to honourable MPs at airports have come to notice of this ministry. The instructions are hereby re-circulated and all concerned are requested to comply with the same in letter and spirit.”

The letter accessed by TOI reads

The protocols includes:

• On spot Seat confirmation for the MPs even in fully booked aircraft
• Cancelling the first seat/s for MPs
• Mp’s must be assisted and guided after they arrive at the airport

Tata Group Won The Bid For Air India!

The tata group spent Rs 18,000 crore to reclaim Air India, given their reverence for the company’s history. Ratan Tata expressed his delight at the Tata Group’s winning bid for Air India, saying that the airline’s founder, J R D Tata, would be overjoyed if he were alive today

Tatas will have the opportunity of regaining the image and reputation it enjoyed in earlier years. Mr JRD Tata would have been overjoyed if he was in our midst today,”

a note by Tata shared on Twitter said.?

“We also need to recognise and thank the government for its recent policy of opening select industries to the private sector. Welcome back, Air India!,”
