Kia KY

One of the cars that has been predicted to be launched by Kia is an entry level MPV, codenamed  ‘KY’. The Kia KY has been sighted multiple times on Indian roads and will most likely be launched in the Indian automotive market early next year.

As per reports, the car will be based on the same platform as the Seltos. However, as opposed to Seltos, the car will also accommodate an extra row of seats. The KY will come with 1.5L petrol and 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine options. The engine will also come with both manual and automatic transmission choices.

Kia EV6

The next car is Kia EV6, which is Kia’s first electric vehicle on dedicated EV architecture. The car is built on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), which is also offered on the Hyundai Ioniq 5, which is also set to be launched soon. The EV6 will come with  two battery pack options, 58 kWh and 77.4 kWh, and these both will be available in RWD and AWD formats. The car is expected to be launched in 2022 via the CBU (Completely Built-Up) import route

Kia e-Niro

The next model, Kia e-Niro is the next car that will be launched by the car manufacturer. This is a fully electric version of the Niro SUV and will be launched with two battery pack options, such as 64 kWh and 39.2 kWh. The e-Niro will most likely be launched in 2023 as a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) import vehicle. The Kia Niro will also be launched with a generation change next year along with its electric version.

Kia EV

A new low-cost electric vehicle will be launched by Kia, based on a similar model by Hyundai. There are not many details about Hyundai’s upcoming India-specific EV right now, but it is expected to be a compact SUV or a micro-SUV. As per reports, it will have a small battery pack and will have low costs as the driving range will be suitable for only urban commutes. As Hyundai’s car will most likely be launched in 2024, Kia’s EV will mostly be launched soon after that.
