Canada Has Lifted The Ban On Passenger Flights From India

Recently Canada has finally lifted the ban on direct passenger flights from India. On September 27 (Monday), Canada Air is expected to fly the first direct trip between the two countries, while Air India is expected to start service on September 30.

Making that announcement, Transport Canada tweeted, “Beginning at 00:01 EDT on September 27, direct flights from India can land in Canada with additional public health measures in place.” That time translates to 9.30 am IST.

According to Transport Canada, once the restriction on direct flights expires, travellers eligible to enter Canada will be able to board direct flights from India to Canada.
