Xiaomi Launches Smart Glasses Studded With MicroLED Optical Waveguide Technology

The new Smart Glasses have been enabled to combine imaging systems and sensors into a subtle, ordinary glasses design through MicroLED optical waveguide technology. The product has been equipped with a quad-core ARM processor, battery, touch pad, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth modules, and Android operating system.

The inner surface of the lens comes with a  grating structure etched on it, which allows light to be refracted in a unique way and directed safely into the human eye. The refraction process will also allow users to see a complete image, and greatly increase usability while wearing these glasses as it comes with  bouncing light beams countless times.

Additionally, all of this has been carried out in a single lens, instead of using complicated multiples lens systems, mirrors, or half mirrors as compared to some other products. The size and weight of the device has also been reduced with  Optical waveguide technology, which allows the smart glasses to approach the form factor of traditional glasses.
