Work from home was a huge change that was unleashed by the COVID-19 pandemic in our lives.

However, this was more than a year ago and now several multinational corporations of India are pulling back the remote working policy for their employees and are also opting for the hybrid working model.

This includes big names like TCS, Infosys and HCL as well!

A major reason for companies to rollback their remote working policy is the availability of vaccinations. As of September 2021 India is doing record vaccinations every day and a large part of the entire population of India is now fully vaccinated. Corporations are therefore asking their employees to come back to work from their workplaces.

Hybrid working models are now in demand as many companies are allowing their employees to work from home for 2 to 3 days of a week and work for the next 2 to 3 days from the office.

Tata Consultancy Services

One of the leading IT services providers of India, TCS, is now planning to ask more than 80% of its employees to start working from their workplaces.  As per the CEO of TCS Rajesh Gopinath this scenario depends on the third wave of the Covid 19 Nick and what is the end of 2021 or early next year the company will be calling back 70 to 80% of its employees back to their workplaces.

Infosys

Infosys will reportedly ask 2.6 lakh employees to return to their workplaces and start working from there. The company has reported that requests are coming in from certain accounts to allow their team members to work from the campus of the company. Also some of the employees have personally shown an interest in coming back to work.

HCL Tech

Major IT services company HCL Tech will also be resuming the operations of its offices. As confirmed by the HCL Technologies Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) Apparao V V, 74% of the employees have been vaccinated against the COVID-19 disease. Therefore the company is planning to resume its offices soon.

HCL Tech

Major IT services company HCL Tech is treading the same path as of its rivals, HCL Technologies Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) Apparao V V said that currently, about 74% of its employees have been inoculated. Keeping this in mind, HCL Tech will be resuming its offices soon.

Nagarro

Digital product engineering firm Nagarro announced a few days back that it has re-opened its Gurgaon office for its employees. The company said in a post that “After 18 months of working from home, we can finally say something that many Nagarrians have long been waiting for! Yes, we are reopening the Nagarro office in Gurgaon, India. Of course, with all Covid protocols in place.”

Nasscom

Nasscom, an Indian non-governmental trade association and advocacy group following the footsteps of the software giants has embraced the hybrid work model and after 1.5 years of remote work opens its offices for the employees to return. The company has announced that it has put in some strict covid protocols and will allow only less than 30% occupancy in the office.
