The upcoming iPhones will launch on September 14, the company confirmed. All the models, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, the Pro max model, and even the mini variants are said to launch on the same day. Even the rumored Apple AirPods 3 is expected to be unveiled at the same event. The new iPhones phones will be unveiled on September 14, pre-orders will start from September 17 and iPhone 13 first sale will start on September 24. Apple iPhone 13 Pro models are said to come with 120Hz OLED displays made by Samsung.

Recently iPhone 13 was leaked to come with a maximum internal storage capacity of 1TB. Currently the latest iPhones come with a maximum of 512GB internal storage. The upcoming iPhones are said to come with improved LiDAR technology on all iPhone 13 models, also confirmed before.

iPhone 13 Display: iPhone 13 Series To Have No Notch?

Apple is already said to be already testing the notch-less iPhone 13.BiPhone 13 series may either come with no-notch or a significantly smaller notch compared to its predecessors. Apple is working on removing the notch completely leaked on Twitter tipster MauriQHD. The notch-less iPhone 13 prototype is in the testing phase.

The big upgrade, the iPhone 13 series could finally be notch-less. A leaked iPhone 13 prototype was spotted being tested without a notch.

It could be a prototype for iPhone 14 series as well. EverythingApplePro and Max Weinbach revealed the Always-On Display functionality for iPhone 13 series. The leak hints at a 120Hz LTPO display by Samsung, (low-temperature polycrystalline oxide) displays. So, users will be able to receive notifications and check battery percentage, time and other relevant information on display at all times.

iPhone 13 Storage: iPhone 13 1TB Storage?

The next-generation iPhone could come with evenly slim bezels on all four sides. iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will probably have higher-end 1TB storage models. Apple is said to be considering an under-display fingerprint sensor too. A while back popular tipster Jon Prosser tipped that the future iPhone 13 models could pack up to 1TB of storage.

A report from ITHome says that upcoming iPhone 13 Pro could come with up to 1TB of storage. Currently, the maximum available storage on an iPhone is 512GB.

iPhone 13 Cameras, LiDAR Sensors

Digitimes previously reported that all the iPhone 13 series phones will come with the ToF LiDAR sensors. iPhone 13 series are said to support Direct Time-of-Flight (D-ToF) technology. The LiDAR sensors will come from a US-based company called II-VI, which will be an important Apple vendor for their supply chain next year.

The next-generation iPhone models will include VCSEL chips to be used in ToF LiDAR sensors. The same report also claimed that the iPhone 13 rear-camera setup is said to have more holes. So the lenses may not increase, but the number of sensors may see a jump. The iPhone 13 series may have a better 3D sensing module.

Popular Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo last year tipped that iPhone 13 Pro will come with an upgraded ultra-wide-angle lens. But not only the Pro variant, but all the iPhone 13 models will ship with an upgraded ultra-wide-angle lens with better low-light performance. The lens will feature a larger f/1.8 aperture.

It will have a focal length of 65mm and f/2.2 aperture, sensor-shift image stabilization and LiDAR scanners. A previous leak suggested an automatic Astro-photography mode which will switch on when the camera detects stars or any other space objects in the sky. All iPhone 13 models have been tipped to feature an improved ultra-wide-angle sensor.

iPhone 13 Hardware: A15 Bionic Much Ahead, Beats Android

iPhone 13 series will be powered by A15 Bionic, said to be manufactured on a 4nm process. Though another report counters with a 5nm A15 Bionic chipset. A leaked benchmark performance confirmed Apple A15 chipset on the upcoming iPhone 13 will be much more capable of next-generation flagship Android processors in the performance department.

The results revealed that the new Bionic A15 chip managed to achieve a peak score of 198 fps on the Manhattan 3.1 test

Though throttling caused noticeably drop to around 150 fps in the second round of tests. The iPhone 13’s A15 will be around 14 percent faster than the Bionic A14 from last year. Surprisingly, in spite of lower fps due to throttling, Bionic A15 will outperform major Android counterparts by a sizable margin.

iPhone 13 5G Support, WiFi

Barclays analysts Blayne Curtis, Tim Long and Thomas O’Malley tipped that iPhone 13 series will come with Wi-Fi 6E. The next generation technology will provide functionalities of Wi-Fi 6 while extending to the 6GHz frequency band. iPhone 13 series will provide higher bandwidth with less interference for Wi-Fi 6E-enabled devices.

iPhone 13 Box Contents: No Charging Cable This Time?

Also, iPhone 13 retail box may next give another in-box product a miss. After charger and earphones, Apple is said to be removing the USB cable from the iPhone 13 retail box. The Cupertino based tech giant is once again doing a survey for an opinion via a new survey.

This time the iPhone 13 retail box will not come with the USB cable, as per the reports.

As Apple is trying to cut down on carbon footprint, they have been discarding in-box products one by one. At the iPhone 12 launch Apple announced they will remove the charging adapter and the EarPods from all the iPhone retail boxes in future. Recently the Cupertino-based tech giant surveyed some users whether they use the charging adapter inside the box.
