75% Employees Want Office For Once A Week; 41% Craving ‘Human Interaction’ (WFH Survey)
A recent survey findings has shown that as much as 75% employees are Interested in working from the office whereas 91% of the respondents are in favor of flexible working hours Interested in working from the office whereas 91% of the respondents have flexible working hours.
This survey has been conducted by property consultant JLL’s Workers Preference Barometer for India.
Survey Shows 91% Employees Want Flexible Working Hours
All the respondents in India were above the age of 18 and they were working professionals working with companies that had a workforce of a minimum of hundred employees or more. more than 90% of the respondents were working with private companies where big corporations made up for 70% of these and the rest were completed by SMEs.
To get a more homogeneous profile of the respondents of the survey quotas on age, managerial responsibilities, company size, and industry were used.
91% of the employees that responded to the survey stated that they wanted flexible working hours, 75% of the employees stated that they wanted to work from office at least once a week as compared to 52% in October 2020
As per the report, employees are looking for more balance in their working patterns and a hybrid work model and flexibility is crucial for them.
41% Employees Seeking Human Interaction: Survey
It also states that 41% of the workforce is craving human interactions with their colleagues whereas 31% wanted a change of scenery. Coffee and socialising in social activities, personal time for relaxing and spending time with family are among the most missed aspects of the weekly routine.
Additionally, 79% of the workforce stated that they would want to work remotely at least once a week and if a third party place of work is added, this number increases to 89%.
The report also reveals that there is a huge transition in the priorities of the workforce as they ask for an empathetic employer and work life balance more than they ask for a comfortable salary.
Also 21% of the workforce do not want to work from home in the future as compare to 16% in October last year. 91% of the workforce also want to work as per their schedules and work and decide their working hours as per the latest results which has increased from 69% from October last year.
