The ambitions of Mr. Mukesh Ambani know no bounds. India has lived and witnessed the digital transformation brought by the juggernaut called, Reliance Jio. While the company primarily dabbled in the sector of telecommunication services they have also ambitions to capture a share of mobile handset markets.

With that in mind, Jio is coming up with a Jio Phone Next. It is the first phone which coming out from the partnership with Google. And to woo customers, the company has said that the phone can be bought by paying just 10% of the actual price. The rest of the amount can be paid using easy EMI options.

Available in two variants

Jio Phone Next might be the most cost-effective 4G smartphone in India. According to reports, the handset will be available in two models. One will be called the Jio Phone Next Basic model, while the other will be called as JioPhone Next Advance.

The basic variant will be priced around Rs 5,000, while the advanced one might be available in the market at around Rs 7,000.

A smartphone for just Rs 500?

While adding a cherry on the cake, Jio Phone Next buyers won’t have to pay the full amount while purchasing. Instead, customers can opt to pay just 10 percent of the phone’s price and the remaining price can be paid through EMI.

Jio has targeted to sell 50 million units in the next 6 months and to achieve this target, the company is said to have partnered with State Bank of India, Piramal Capital, IDFC First Assure, and DMI Finance. Hence, you can get the new phone by paying just Rs 500 and the rest through easy-EMI options. Likewise, the Advanced model will be available for just Rs 700. 

Reliance Jio has also signed credit support deals worth Rs 2,500 crores with four non-banking finance companies (NBFCs).

So, while the festive season is on the horizon, Reliance Jio has given one more reason to be joyful, ain’t it?
