Kia made a grand debut in India by launching the first Kia car in India, i.e. Kia Seltos SUV. Seltos caters to a wide spectrum of customers and gradually it emerged as the bestselling SUV in the country.

Since its launch in September last year, the Sonet has made a name for itself in India’s burgeoning compact SUV segment, while the Seltos, Kia’s first model was the country’s second best-selling SUV in 2020.

Earlier Kookhyun Shim, MD and CEO at Kia Motors India said “The Seltos marked the arrival of the Kia brand in India. It laid a strong foundation for Kia in the country and as a vehicle; it has been a true game-changer in the Indian automobile industry,” 

He also said. “The refreshed Seltos is the result of a deep understanding of the Indian automotive market, and our customers’ desires and requirements, and we are confident it will continue to win hearts for Kia in India.”
