Tata’s Next Electric Car Gives 350 Kms Range On Single Charge! India Launch Date? Expected Price?

Electric Vehicle Market in India is brewing heavily nowadays. Tata Nexon Ev is already making huge strides by clocking numbers as high as normal Nexon. Ola recently launched its new Electric Scooter in India. It garnered more than 1 lakh bookings within the first 24 hours of openings. Tesla is also preparing to launch its Model 3 in India in the next few months. In that background, Tata is not ready to be satisfied with the success of Nexon EV. Now the company is ready to amaze the markets with its new Tata Tigor EV.

Tata Tigor EV bookings officially started

In the upcoming days, we will witness the launch of a second electric vehicle from Tata Motors. Tata Tigor EV bookings have officially been started. The car which is going to be launched on 31st August had started to arrive at dealerships as well.

Tata Motors’ Ziptron technology, which is also seen in the case of the Nexon EV will also be part of the new Tigor EV. Ziptron technology offers a permanent magnet AC motor paired with a lithium-ion battery. This battery pack is both dust and waterproof which complies with IP67 standards.

The company has claimed that that technology would relate to a longer driving range of over 300 km or even close to 350 km. The figures have not yet been confirmed.

Faster Charging

As Nexon, 2021 Tata Tigor EV would also support fast charging capabilities which will enhance customer convenience. Ziptron technology helps the Nexon EV to get charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 60 minutes. Tigor EV is also expected to come up with the same features.

For the commercial/fleet segment, Tata Motors had earlier introduced the XPres-T, a variant of Tigor EV. It has two variants of XM+ and XT+ and is priced at Rs 9.75 lakh and Rs 9.90 lakh respectively. This variant uses a 72V motor with a 21.5 kWh battery pack which along with Ziptron technology, increases power and range significantly.
