SBI to hire Engineers

State Bank of India (SBI) has announced openings for Specialist Cadre Officers (Engineers Civil/Electrical). The application process has started on August 13, 2020. The last date for application is September 2. Out of the total of 46 vacancies, 36 vacancies are for the position of Assistant Manager- Engineer (Civil) and 10 for Assistant Manager- Engineer (Electrical).

Eligibility for these positions is as follows – Candidates should be between 21-30 years of age. To apply for these posts, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree/post-graduation (Master’s degree) in Civil Engineering with a score of 60 percent and above or 6.75 on a scale of 10 in the case of CGPA from a recognized University or Institution. The applicant should also have 2 years of work experience in relevant fields of work.

Application and selection procedure

For applying to these posts, Eligible and interested candidates need to visit the SBI careers portal at https://bank.sbi/web/careers or https://www.sbi.co.in/web/careers. The website also provides timely updates regarding the process. Applicants belonging to the General/EWS/OBC categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 750. SC/ST/PwD candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

The selection procedure will involve a written test and interview. Performance in the written test and interview will decide the position of the candidates in the final merit list. The written test will be given 70 percent weightage whereas the interview will have 30 percent weightage.
