Tech Mahindra is one of the leading IT services companies of India, and plans to add three times the number of freshers that were hired in the last year. As per reports, the company is planning to hire freshers that are skilled in Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, and Space technology while building leadership.

In the first quarter, the company had hired 5200 people in the first quarter.

As per C P Gurnani, Managing Director and its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tech Mahindra, “The company hired 5,200 people in the [first] quarter to take its overall strength to over 1.26 lakh, and will continue to hire at the same or an accelerated pace in the remaining fiscal year as well.”

Last month, the IT Sector industry body NASSCOM stated that the sector remained a net hirer of skilled talent. According to it, the country’s top 5 IT companies are planning to loop in additional 96,000 employees during 2021.

Tech M Planned To Recruit 5000 Freshers By June

Recently, we reported to you  that IT major Tech Mahindra has also informed about growth in the headcount going forward. The report stated that it expects over 5,000 freshers to join its workforce by June this year.

As per reports, the consolidated net profit of Tech Mahindra has hiked to 39.2% with Rs 1353 crore from June and a net profit of Rs 972.3 crore in this year. Apparently, there also has been a good increase in the total income in the quarter. Also, a 7% month-on-month has been clocked, which is expected to be maintained in 2021.

As per Tech Mahindra’s annual report, in the last fiscal year of 2020-2021, the salary of the CEO and MD of Tech Mahindra received the salary of Rs. 22 Crore. This is down by 33% from the year before that.

As a part of the action plan to face the disastrous effects of the pandemic, the top management had decided not to take the variable pay or the bonuses since the first quarter of last year.

As per the sources, Gurnani’s compensation consists of Rs. 2.7 Crore in salary, perquisites of Rs. 9 Crore, and commission of Rs. 1.7 Crore. We could not assert the rest of the components of the salary but is highly likely that the component comprises stock compensation benefits.
