Indian Railways Restarts Fastest Train From July 21, 2021

Indian Railways has restored the  Vande Bharat and Gatiman Express trains to provide convenient, faster and comfortable travelling. Starting  21 July 2021, the services of New Delhi – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – New Delhi Vande Bharat Express and Hazrat Nizamuddin – Jhansi – Hazrat Nizamuddin Gatimaan Express will be restored. 

Additionally, Train Number 22439 New Delhi – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express and Train Number 22440 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – New Delhi Vande Bharat Express will be running every day except Tuesday. 

Also, Train Number 12050 Hazrat Nizamuddin – Jhansi Junction Gatiman Express and Train Number 12049 Jhansi Junction – Hazrat Nizamuddin Gatiman Express will be running daily except on Fridays.

Indian Railways Plans To Roll Out 10 New Vande Bharat Trains

We recently reported to you that to honor the 75th year of Independence in 2022, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has finalized plans to roll out about 10 new Vande Bharat trains by August next year, which will connect at least 40 cities.

Vande Bharat is India’s self-developed semi-high speed train set, which matches the international standards and takes shorter time to complete journeys, compared to the Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains.

The Indian government has plans to eventually add 100 Vande Bharat trains and is working towards adding a maximum number of these trains by 2024.

In a meeting headed by the chairman of Railway Board Suneet Sharma on July 17, proceeding plans for executing the launch of at least 10 new Vande Bharat trains by August 2022 were discussed, in the presence of concerned parties related to the said project.

Railway Minister, Piyush Goyal, on Sunday announced that, for the betterment in the services of our consumers we are starting 32 main trains, the list of which includes prominent trains like Garib Rath, Taj Express, Shaan-e-Punjab, Mumbai Central – Hajrat Kranti Nijammudin Express, etc.

The zonal railway boards have been advised to restart zonal trains in a phased manner. They have been asked to consider, local conditions, demand for railway tickets, and the pandemic-related situation in the region.
