OnePlus Nord 2 has been launched in India, price starts at Rs 27,999. OnePlus Nord 2 5G will come with the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI chipset, 50MP triple camera, 65W fast charging technology and more. With the new OnePlus Nord 2, the company is trying to get back it’s flagship killer status in the mid-range smartphone segment in the country. The company claimed that the new processor will enable several enhancements like improvements with camera, battery performance and display resolution.

The company has slowly entered the premium flagship space year by year ditching the flagship killer status, and OnePlus Nord 2 seems like a perfectly priced device at Rs 27,999.

The company launched another entry-level premium device, the OnePlus 9R with OnePlus 9 series. OnePlus Nord 2 will be a bridge between the OnePlus Nord CE 5G and OnePlus 9R. OnePlus Nord 2 price in India starts at Rs 27,999 for the 6GB model, but let’s see whether you can even buy the base model in India, or it will just be as the first OnePlus Nord or OnePlus Nord CE 5G without any trace of the base models.

OnePlus Nord 2 sale starts on July 28 on all the online and offline channels. OnePlus Nord 2 availability on online channels include Amazon India, OnePlus India store and offline sales via Vijay Sales. Early access sale for Red Cable Club members starts on July 26. The device will come in 6GB, 8GB and 12GB RAM options.

OnePlus Nord 2 will be available with 128GB storage and 256GB storage options in three different models.

OnePlus Nord base models are never found to be bought in the market, as we saw with OnePlus Nord or the recent OnePlus Nord CE 5G. The company announces the Nord devices at an attractive price with the base model as some marketing gimmick, but they are never found to be bought in the real world.

Hopefully we won’t see a similar situation with OnePlus Nord 2. The price starts at Rs 27,999 for 6GB RAM model, now the mystery will remain whether you can even buy it or not, or you will have to straightaway buy the 8GB/128GB model at Rs 27,999.

The mid-end model is priced at Rs 29,999 for the 8GB RAM variant with 128GB storage option and Rs 34,999 for 12GB RAM and 256GB model. OnePlus Nord 2 colour options include Blue Haze, Gray Sierra and Green Wood (only for top-end model).

OnePlus Nord 2 comes with a similar design as OnePlus 9 series with a few changes. Upfront, the all-new OnePlus Nord 2 has a punch-hole selfie camera at the top left with the camera setup slightly displacing the LED flash to the bottom, while the rest of design language remains the same. OnePlus Nord 2 sports a 6.43-inch Fluid AMOLED display featuring a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels offering 90Hz refresh rate at a 20:9 aspect ratio.

The OnePlus Nord 2 display is backed by AI features like AI-Super resolution offering multiple video enhancements.

OnePlus Nord 2 will run on the latest MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI chipset running on Android 11 based OxygenOS out of the box. 

The OnePlus Nord 2 camera will basically be a triple-lens setup at the back. The three camera system will include a 50-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel mono lens along with a dual-LED flash. It comes with features as multi-auto focus, 4k video recording at 30 fps, up to 10x zoom and AI enhancements.

Upfront, OnePlus Nord 2 has a 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 selfie shooter. The OnePlus Nord 2 also comes with USB 2.0 Type-C, dual nano-SIM, dual stereo speaker and noise cancellation support.
