Adventure motorcycles are becoming increasingly popular in India for they offer a combination of practicality and excitement.

Because of their strong suspension and high ground clearance, they can handle unfamiliar terrains like dirt, unpaved roads, and even rocky trails with ease. Aside from that, they function well on conventional roads, particularly those with bumps, potholes, and other hazards.

Honda plans to launch the NX200 ADV based on the Hornet 2.0

Honda’s new entry-level ADV will be based on the Hornet 2.0 which is currently sold as a commuter. The Hornet is based on the CB 190R naked motorcycle which is sold in the Chinese market.

So, if you are keen on buying an adventure bike in India, then this will be a good news for all of you!

Engine

As far as the engine is concerned, the NX200 ADV will have a 184 cc engine which produces 17.3bhp of power and 16.1 Nm of peak torque.

Design

The CBF 190X shares its design with the CB 500X.

Features like sleek headlamp design, moderately sized windshield, carved fuel tank, half fairing, upswept stubby exhaust, and a single-piece seat.

The CBF190X is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, and the NX200 is expected to receive the same.

Price

The NX200 ADV is slated to be released in August, and it is projected to cost roughly $15,000 more than the Hornet 2.0, which costs $1.45 lakh (ex-showroom).

Xpulse 200, KTM D 250 Adv, and Royal Enfield Himalayan are some of the bikes in this class that enthusiasts with a limited budget may find themselves with fewer possibilities.

Honda features the well-known Africa Twin as well as the newly released CB 500X, both of which are fairly pricey. Honda intends to address this issue and enter the inexpensive adventure-touring category. Thus Honda plans to launch the NX200 ADV based on the Hornet 2.0
