As per new reports, all the flights from India to UAE have been banned, and this is reportedly because of the delta variant. As per reports, Etihad Airways has announced that it will be extending the suspension of flights from India till July 31, 2021.

Flights from Pakistan and Bangladesh have also been suspended, as confirmed by a statement by the Etihad Airways.

Etihad Airways Extends Ban Of Airlines From India And Four Countries to UAE

Apparently, over the increasing risk of the Delta variant of the coronavirus The airways have decided not to allow air services to the UAE till July 31 from India Pakistan and Bangladesh. 

Previously, Etihad Airways had banned the services of airplanes to UAE in five countries, including India and Pakistan, until July 21. However, the airways has decided to extend the band even further because of the delta variant.

The company has tweeted while replying to a query by a customer, “Following the latest UAE Government directives, passenger travel from India to the UAE and Etihad’s network has been suspended effective until 31 July 2021.”

UAE Flag Carrier Emirates Also Announces Extension Of Suspension

The website of Etihad Airway states that only UAE residents and diplomats are allowed to travel. However, they will be required to present a coronavirus test which has been taken a maximum of 48 hours before the departure of their flight. They will also be required to adhere to all the rules and regulations against COVID-19.

UAE flag carrier Emirates has also announced that it will be extending its suspension of flights from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka until at least Wednesday July 21. 

As per reports, any one who has connected through any of these countries in the last 14 days will not be permitted to travel to the UAE.

As per reports, Emirates’ Chief Operating Officer, Adel Al Redha has said in a media briefing that the carrier is waiting for directives from the UAE government before any final decisions are made regarding the resumption of flights from India.
