Work From Home Ends For 200,000 Wipro Employees From This Date; 30,000 Freshers Will Be Hired

The CEO & MD of Wirpo, Thierry Delaporte said that despite the severe onslaught of the pandemic, due to secular growth across all SMUs, Sectors and GBLs the company was able to deliver its best-ever quarter. Both organically and with Capco, the company’s sequential revenue growth was 12.2% which was well ahead of the top-end of our guidance range. He reiterated the focus of the organization on deepening customer relationships, investing in talent & capabilities for the future, and winning market share.

Major Hirings Planned By Wipro

Wipro has surpassed a milestone of 2.0 Lakhs with a total headcount of 209,890 worldwide. The company has hired new 12,150 employees in the first quarter of FY22.

The largest IT-based IT in Bengaluru had a attrition rate of 15.5% in the first quarter which is higher than the previous quarter at 12.1% in Q4 FY21.

WFH To End From This Date

Saurabh Govil, Global Head-HR, Wipro said that the company is planning, depending on the pandemic and third wave, to bring the employees back to the office from September 2021 as the vaccination has picked up.

We have vaccinated 58 percent of employees in the first dose and 10 percent in all doses, he said.

Speaking to the media, Govil said, “The return to office will vary from country to country and different stages of the epidemic. This will not be one size fits all. ”

Its peer companies TCS and Infosys are also planning to reinstate employees.
