TCS Soars Feat in the UK

TCS UK and Ireland’s country head, Amit Kapur states that the UK and Ireland fall among the biggest growth markets for TCS.

This can be justified by TCS’ hiring spree and upskilling practices for employees in the UK tech market.

According to Wednesday’s filing, TCS currently holds more than 18,000 employees across 30 locations in the UK and has added over 1,500 new ones to support its growth, over the last five years.

It has plans to recruit 1500 more employees in 2021.

This has placed the company among the top recruiters of IT services talent in the UK.

The filing adds, “TCS has upskilled more than 90% of its UK staff in the last two years, reflecting its commitment to nurturing local IT talent

It has been named the #1 Top Employer in the UK by the Top Employers Institute and among the Top 25 Best Big Companies to Work for in the UK.”

Furthermore, the TCS UK employee stats show that over 28% of the employees are females, compared to the 17% female count average in the UK IT sector.

Moneycontrol states that the total headcount of the company across all its locations around the globe stood at 509,058 at the end of June 2021 quarter.

“Our deep contextual knowledge, customer centricity, investments in intellectual property and innovative and impactful technology solutions, make us the preferred growth and digital transformation partner to leading British businesses,” adds Kapur.
