Silver Lining
It has been advised that in order to improve the prospects of Indian universities, adequate teaching capacity has to be achieved , an area it is still struggling with.
On the bright side, India is in an enviable position coming to top research university rankings.
IISc Bangalore has bagged the position of the “world’s top research university”.
It was awarded a perfect score of 100/100 when assessing its Citations Per Faculty (CPF) metric.
CPF checks the research impact of a university by dividing the total number of citations received by its research papers by the number of faculty.
This is a first for an Indian university to achieve a full 100/100 in research or any other parameter.
